Can I get that with no ice? I know you were just here, asking about drinks, and I didn't say anything, but I really hate ice for some reason.

So, the Nina's Pizza Customer Handbook is something I've kind of wanted to implement for awhile. RIM lifers will probably get it right away: many restaurants, especially but not exclusively the corporate sort, will often have an employee handbook, basically an introduction to the rules and a point of reference for newly hired employees. Anyone who's worked a job like this has probably thought at some point that the customers should have a set of guidelines that they must observe, as well.

Lesson #1 is Listen To Your Server. This is flexible, you should listen to the host or the bartender as well. (As seen here: http://rimcomics.smackjeeves.com/comics/1364977/005-ten-scale/) The point is, we are here to help you, to facilitate you, the customer, getting what you want or as close as we can get to it. We are your ambassadors, your representatives. We know the cooks, and we can make the things you want a reality. Special orders? Yeah, I can do that. As long as you don't give me a reason not to. And the easiest way to do that is to ignore me, or to brush off whatever I'm saying. So listen to your server. They are eager to listen to you, and to find ways they can make you happy. At least, the good ones are.

Whew! That got kinda ranty. It's okay though, I'm a professional! This sort of thing is not a problem with 90% of customers. Don't be the jerk in the 10%. I promise you, your service will be better if you listen and talk with your server. And if it's not, you have my permission to take their tip down to 15% at least, because they're not doing the key part of their job.

Okay! See you next week! Also, I'm planning to post a bonus page on Hallowe'en, celebrating 1 year solid of RIM Comics! In addition, I'll be recording with the Brothers Oliver of http://www.twxxd.com for their excellent and entertaining webcomics podcast. The show will release the Monday after, but it's still exciting to be recording the interview on the eve of my 1 year anniversary! Plus, it's Hallowe'en, so that means party times ahoy.

Have a great week, gang! Thanks for stopping by!
